The windows in my Inverness village house are not working too well. I wonder if anyone in the community  has repaired/replaced the windows and would like to share their experience with me I will be much appreciated.  Thanks. Judy Chen from Inverness village

Here is a comment I received from Marie Cavill:

Hi Harvey,
I am responding to you via your email address as I find no email address for resident Judy Chen. I have replaced all the small windows in our TH. I am so pleased with the window replacements as the warmth and the energy savings are unbelievable. I have never felt so warm in any winter that I have spent here with the old windows that were in place. I would recommend contacting Thompson Creek Windows whose ads are abundant now but were little known when I used them only two years ago. Now I see ads via TV, mail fliers, etc.

I am now seeking bids on the large sliders starting with the one in the kitchen dining area. I have gotten two bids and I am trying to decide which one to choose. I know the result from Thompson Creek yet I also got a bid from Pella Windows as I thought I might try them with just the one slider in the kitchen. I have never used Pella and I am not sure I want to take a chance. If anyone has a comment re: Pella I would appreciate a comment. From recollection I believe the cost difference was about $400.00 more with Pella.

Hi!

When we moved in to our home, all but 2 windows were original to the home. We chose Wheaton Door & Window Company to replace our living room slider, dining room window, and the basement window and slider. We are very happy with the doors and windows, and the removal and installation was smooth. Naturally, when we were ready to replace the kitchen slider and master bedroom window, and basement well window we returned to Wheaton Door & Window Company. Again, great product and service. We definitely think you should consider this company and get an estimate.

Mike Adibi sent me the following comment:

Hi Harvey:

Guess what? In today's mail there was an offer from Renewal by Andersen. We had Andersen several years ago and have been satisfied. The only reservation we had was that Andersen avoids non-standard windows and apparently many of windows in our community are non-standard (the top of some of the windows is either half- or quarter circles).

Call Renewal by Andersen at 1-888-898-4308.
